Confusion species
Many species of Phyllonorycter are extremely similar, great care should
be given when separating these species. It is often impossible to
separate the adults of some species.

Wherever the foodplant is found.
Foodplant
Apple, pear, rowan, hawthorn, whitebeam and birch .
Lifestage data
Leaf miner. Eggs laid on upperside of leaf. Larva forms a very short
mine leading to a blotch. Pupates in an off white silken cocoon formed
within the mine. |
